Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: July 24, 2026
KoreaChannels.com is committed to transparency about how we earn money. This page explains our affiliate relationships in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines under 16 CFR Part 255.
How We Earn Money
KoreaChannels.com is currently supported by display advertising through Google AdSense. We do not currently participate in any affiliate program, and no article on this site contains affiliate links at this time.
We are in the process of applying to affiliate programs so that product links in our K-Beauty articles may eventually earn a small commission on qualifying purchases โ always at no additional cost to you. If and when that happens, this page will be updated to name each program, and every article containing affiliate links will carry a visible disclosure at the top.
Our Editorial Independence
We take editorial integrity seriously. The following principles guide our content:
- We only recommend products we genuinely believe in. No company can pay us for a positive review or higher ranking.
- Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings or analysis. Product positions on our lists are based on publicly available data (such as Hwahae rankings and Olive Young best seller data) and our own Korean-local perspective.
- We disclose clearly. Every article containing affiliate links displays a visible disclosure at the top, and all affiliate links use the
rel="sponsored"HTML attribute as required by Google's guidelines. - No undisclosed sponsorships. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled as such โ separate from our affiliate relationships.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
Once affiliate links are introduced, you will be able to identify them in three ways:
- Articles containing affiliate links will display a clear "Affiliate Disclosure" notice at the top of the article.
- Affiliate links will carry the HTML attribute rel="sponsored", as required by Google's guidelines.
- Product recommendation cards will explicitly show which retailer a link points to.
As of the date above, none of our articles contain affiliate links.
Data and Sources
Our K-Beauty product recommendations and rankings are based on:
- Hwahae (ํํด) โ Korea's largest cosmetics review platform, used for ingredient analysis and user ratings
- Olive Young โ Korea's largest beauty retailer, used for best seller data
- Our own observations and analysis as Korean locals
- Publicly available brand and product information
We cite our sources where relevant. We do not republish copyrighted content (such as full review text or product images) from these platforms without permission.
Privacy and Tracking
When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer may set cookies to track your purchase. This is how affiliate networks attribute sales to publishers like us. We do not receive any personal information about you โ only aggregate commission data.
For details on our overall privacy practices, please see our Privacy Policy.
Updates to This Disclosure
We may update this disclosure as we add new affiliate programs or as relevant regulations change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
