Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: May 21, 2026

KoreaChannels.com is committed to transparency about how we earn money. This page explains our affiliate relationships in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines under 16 CFR Part 255.

How We Earn Money

KoreaChannels.com participates in the following affiliate programs:

  • YesStyle Affiliate Program (via ShareASale)
  • Amazon Associates Program

When you click on certain product links on our K-Beauty articles and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This comes at no additional cost to you — the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.

These commissions help us continue creating in-depth, free content about Korean culture, YouTube creators, and K-Beauty products.

Our Editorial Independence

We take editorial integrity seriously. The following principles guide our content:

  • We only recommend products we genuinely believe in. No company can pay us for a positive review or higher ranking.
  • Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings or analysis. Product positions on our lists are based on publicly available data (such as Hwahae rankings and Olive Young best seller data) and our own Korean-local perspective.
  • We disclose clearly. Every article containing affiliate links displays a visible disclosure at the top, and all affiliate links use the rel="sponsored" HTML attribute as required by Google's guidelines.
  • No undisclosed sponsorships. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled as such — separate from our affiliate relationships.

How to Identify Affiliate Links

You can identify affiliate links on our site in three ways:

  1. Articles containing affiliate links display a clear "Affiliate Disclosure" notice at the top of the article.
  2. Affiliate links carry the HTML attribute rel="sponsored", which can be inspected in your browser.
  3. Product recommendation cards explicitly show "Buy on YesStyle" or "Buy on Amazon" buttons.

Amazon Associates Required Disclaimer

As an Amazon Associate, KoreaChannels.com earns from qualifying purchases.

Data and Sources

Our K-Beauty product recommendations and rankings are based on:

  • Hwahae (화해) — Korea's largest cosmetics review platform, used for ingredient analysis and user ratings
  • Olive Young — Korea's largest beauty retailer, used for best seller data
  • Our own observations and analysis as Korean locals
  • Publicly available brand and product information

We cite our sources where relevant. We do not republish copyrighted content (such as full review text or product images) from these platforms without permission.

Privacy and Tracking

When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer may set cookies to track your purchase. This is how affiliate networks attribute sales to publishers like us. We do not receive any personal information about you — only aggregate commission data.

For details on our overall privacy practices, please see our Privacy Policy.

Updates to This Disclosure

We may update this disclosure as we add new affiliate programs or as relevant regulations change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
