About KoreaChannels.com
Who We Are
KoreaChannels.com is an independent project run by a single Korean creator based in South Korea. There is no agency, no editorial team, and no corporate backing โ just one person curating content from inside Korea for readers abroad.
Our Positioning: A Korean Insider's View
Most English-language coverage of Korean YouTube and K-Beauty is written from the outside, relying on translated press releases or secondhand impressions. KoreaChannels.com is different: our channel recommendations and K-Beauty picks are grounded in data that only a Korean local can easily access and interpret โ Hwahae (ํํด) rankings and ingredient reviews, and Olive Young best-seller data, both of which reflect what Korean consumers themselves are actually buying and rating, not what's marketed abroad.
This gives international readers a window into Korean trends as Koreans experience them, rather than a repackaged version filtered through overseas marketing.
Why Six Languages
We publish in English, Korean, French, Indonesian, Thai, and Portuguese because interest in Korean culture spans far beyond any single market. Our language choices specifically target readers in the United States, Southeast Asia, Brazil, and France โ regions where we've seen sustained curiosity about Korean YouTube creators and Korean beauty routines, but where local-language resources are often thin or inaccurate.
Our Content Principles
- Data-driven, not sponsored-driven. Rankings and recommendations are based on public data (subscriber counts, Hwahae ratings, Olive Young sales data) and our own analysis โ never on payment for placement.
- No fake hands-on reviews. We do not claim to have personally tried every product we mention. Where we haven't used a product ourselves, we say so and rely on aggregated Korean consumer data instead of fabricating a first-person experience.
- Editorial independence. Affiliate relationships (see our Affiliate Disclosure) never determine what gets featured or how it's ranked.
How We Make Money
KoreaChannels.com is currently supported by display advertising (Google AdSense). We are also in the process of applying to affiliate programs (such as Commission Factory/YesStyle) so that product links in our K-Beauty articles can eventually earn a small commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to readers. As of this writing, no affiliate commissions are active โ see our Affiliate Disclosure page for the current status. If and when affiliate links go live, they will be clearly disclosed on every article that contains them.
